Since i had not made an entry for three weeks because of involving in MYSA 2011 for three days as committee member in technical and special tasks, through this entry, i will share you something interesting about it.

MYSA 2011 actually stands for Malaysian Young Scientist Assembly 2011 is a programme organized by Faculty of Science and Technology USIM in collaboration with Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), Academy Science Malaysia (ASM) and Yayasan Angkasawan Malaysia (YAM). This assembly is to unite all the science students who come from different fields in public universities to provide a platform for knowledege exchange among young scientists. Started on 4th July until 6th July 2011, this programme was being held in FPQS USIM and Bangi Equatorial Hotel.

On the first day, around noon until 6 pm, all the participants, 130 of them are being registered in Acacia Avenue Resident College (KKAA). Most of them come from UTeM, IIUM, UTM, USM, UniSZA, UMT, UMP, UNIMAP,UPM, UKM, UPNM and USIM itself. Then, on that night, after had their dinner and maghrib player, ice-breaking session was done. There was ten group. Each group consisted of 12 to 13 persons. Each group was conducted by one fasilitator. Next, they have to create a group's name and the reasons why it is chosen. The judge on that night was Dr Mohd Hafez Mohd Isa. Everyone had gave their best effort to deliver their best presentation. One of the presenter, Liyana Nadiah Anwar was the best speaker as told by others. It was ended with supper at 11 PM.

On the second day, it started with a talk by Professor Dato' Dr Sheikh Omar Abdul Rahman entitled Prospect of Scientist Profession. He was very energetic in delivering his speech. He familiar with PAK SHEIKH. His childhood story made us to be a strong person, neglect others said to make you down and take your path, dream. Because of it, now he become a successful person. Then, after the refreshment, the scientific bazaar was done. There was seven rooms which one speaker or mentor in different field inside there. Each participant can choose which room they want to enter, sit and ask the questions according to their interest. At evening, the participants and mentors were brought to ride cruise in putrajaya lake. They were exchanged their opinions and thought during the cruise ride.

The most important event in this programme was the launching ceremony and gala dinner of MYSA 2011 at that night. The colour theme was black and red. Its totally look elegant and luxurious. The gimmick was awesome. Video presentations were published while we were enjoyed the chinese food styles dishes. The winners of lucky draw had received bagpack of MYSA 2011.

On third day, it continued with the second session by Prof Dr Mohd Basyarudin Abd Rahman entitled How to Explore Your Self-Potential. It was the second time for me to listen to his speech after IChemTech Seminar. While being waiting for his coming, there was group photography session. The hall looked red in color. Each group was so excited to get in amazing scientist race after the speech. I was the person in charge in checkpoint 9 at center of graduate studies. The task was to solve the questions about postgraduate studies in USIM. The other checkpoint was in library, canselory, FST, PK, MPG, pavillion and FPQS where YAM or ASM is the mandatory checkpoint to take it.

At 3.00 PM, the race ended and they were having their short break before the closing ceremony. The winner for this programme included the marks from presentation, explorace, bonus and penalty was the group 5. Well done to all of you. Finally, there was a closing video about the whole programme. Credit to ERMA FATIHA for your video editing. That evening, everyone was sad and looked gloomy since that day was the last day. Some of them are took autograph, pictures for their sweet memories.
